How to Participate in Wiki

The main aim of the wiki system consists in enabling collaboration among persons with certain common intention. In our case, a membership for each wiki system is required. The membership may be acquired in the following steps:

I. Creating an Account

1. 1. Activate the menu entry "Create an account …" in the upper right of the wiki window.
   2. Register your "Username" and "Password" at least, as well as "Mail address" if possible.
   3. Log in with the just registered username and password.

II. Editing Existing Pages

1. 1. After logging in the wiki system, the menu entry "Edit" and "Edit source"will be displayed in the wiki window.
   2. There are two different editing mode; "normal mode" and "source mode".
   3. After you finished your contribution, you have to save the changes by activating the menu "Save changes …" in the right top corner or in the left bottom corner of the wiki window according to the editing mode.

III. Creating a New Page

1. 1. After the logging in the wiki system, also the "Wiki tools" are activated in the menu panel on the left side of the wiki window. There is a menu "Special pages" in the Wiki tools. On these Special pages, there is a menu group "Lists of pages". The first entry under this group is "All pages". You can search a appropriate page in this list to edit contents or write new contents.
   2. If you find no appropriate page, then you can create a new page. There are two method to create a page. Firstly, you can enter the name of a new page after "https://…/index.php/" in the URL-address line of the browser. If the name contains several words, please bind them with underscore "_" instead of space. After hitting the enter key, you will be requested to answer the question if you would like to create a new page.
   3. Otherwise, you can enter the name of a new page in the search column of the wiki window (NOT in the search column of the browser). After hitting the enter key, you will be requested to answer the question if you will "Create the page <name of a new page> on this wiki!". A new page will be created by clicking the <name of a new page>.

IV. Deleting Existing Pages

1. 1. Deleting existing pages requires the administrator privilege; in our case "Codesuser". Please, contact him per email.
   2. Normal users may still use the operation "Move" in the menu panel on the right side of the wiki window for the purpose to change the page name. However, this operation is rather "Copy" of existing pages. The original name will remain in the list of pages.
